Visiting The Happy Church
Come as you are. Our Sunday service runs from noon to 1 p.m., with worship and Bible teaching in a relaxed, family-room atmosphere.
Help yourself at the Crowe Bar, our coffee station, before, during, or after worship.
A staffed nursery and children’s Sunday school are available during the service.
All parts of the church building have accessible entrances, with ramps wherever there are entrance stairs.
During the week
Each of these groups meets at our Jackson campus. Here’s what happens and when to come.
6 p.m.
We meet to study the Bible and encourage one another in following Jesus.
6 p.m. · ends around 7:30–8 p.m.
Teens study the Bible together, take part in service projects, and help with Kids Night.
Ages 12–186 p.m. · buses leave at 7:30 p.m.
A meal, Bible lessons, and games. Children earn “Happy Cash” for attendance and memorizing verses, then spend it on donated toys, games, and clothes.
Potty-trained children through age 126 p.m.
A Christian recovery ministry with a shared meal and men’s and women’s groups.
New to Kids Night or Teen Night? Bring your children along; we’ll register them when you arrive.
After Sunday worship
Children learn instruments and singing, take part in drama, and study Scripture for Bible quiz competitions. Activities take place after Sunday worship; get in touch for the current schedule.
How we began
The Happy Church began in January 2002 in James and Mary Crowe’s basement. A few months later, we moved into a downtown Jackson storefront before eventually coming to our campus on Happy Lane.
James and Mary still run our coffee stations, the Crowe Bars, named for them.
